Simple reminders to help patients stay on track

Trulicity is a new once-weekly treatment for diabetes. Dosing once a week is easy — but some patients still need help remembering to do it.

Start with a focus on the patient
The target patient is early in their diabetes journey. They are younger than average (45-55) and many are comfortable using a smartphone or computer. This insight was key to the long-term adoption and success of the app.

Get helpful reminders anytime
The app makes it easy to get a dosing reminder on your smartphone — designed to work on both iPhone and Android.

Choose your dosing day & time
The app let’s you choose the day and time to get your reminder. It’s easy to use and you are in control of your own treatment.

The app knows if you’re not home
Set your location so the app knows where you are. It will switch time zones when you travel — or you can wait until you return home.

It’s easy to ‘snooze’ your reminder
The app gives you multiple ways to snooze your reminder — skip for a day, snooze for 30 minutes, or wait until you get home.

Plan for simplicity
While the app is easy to use, the design process can be challenging. The user has multiple options and our team had to account for each possible decision. We built “wireflows” to help keep track of every screen. This format was very helpful for the design and development teams to see each screen in context and visualize how the interactions would work.
